Hurricane threats prompt advance request for potential volunteers

The U.S. has seen a particularly high level of extreme weather with FEMA having declared 65 major disasters already this year. North Americans are currently in the 2010 hurricane season until the end of November, with Hurricane Earl threatening possible landfall this weekend and more hurricanes being closely monitored. In preparation for a large-scale disaster, Nazarene Disaster Response is making an advance request for potential volunteers.

21-year-old Nazarene wins seat in Oklahoma House of Representatives

Elise Hall, a 21-year-old Nazarene from Oklahoma City, will become one of the youngest lawmakers in Oklahoma after winning the state's House District 100 race.

M11 registration now open

The USA/Canada Regional Office is pleased to announce that registration for the Mission 2011 (M11) Conference is now open. The conference will be held at the Kentucky International Convention Center in Louisville, Kentucky, February 21-23, 2011.
